SyCom’s first ‘Keep Your Company Out of the Headlines’ event, held in Richmond back in the summer, was such a hit we took it to the Lynchburg area! Members of SyCom’s Roanoke-based Sales team, Cisco representatives, and attendees gathered at the Craddock Terry Hotel and Event Center for a specialty pasta luncheon. This security-themed, lunch-and-learn-style event focused on the following: SyCom’s newly branded RedSpy365: A Continuous Penetration Testing Service, Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP), and Cisco OpenDNS and CloudLock.
SyCom Director of Solutions Architecture, Twann Atkins, opened the event by overviewing how to build a proactive and continuous security solution. The floor then went to Darren Manners, SyCom Senior Security Engineer, during which he gave personal accounts of security breaches. He then explained how SyCom’s unique 24/7/365 security solution, RedSpy365, solves such breaches and why customers are adopting it. Next, SyCom Solutions Architect, Allen Surface, discussed FireAMP, including its visibility features and how it compares to competing products.
Cisco representatives then spoke on Cisco’s security solution offerings. Greg Conner, Cisco Regional Sales Manager, and Thomas Wood, Cisco Cloud Security Consulting Security Engineer, talked about the ins and outs of OpenDNS and CloudLock. The two explained the visibility that these tools have and then proceeded to example how these tools catch malware and avoid breaches.
Twann Atkins wrapped up the event, briefly emphasizing both the importance of security solutions and how such protective measures benefited the attendees in the room. Overall, this event was quite a success! SyCom was pleased that this event was valuable to both our Richmond and Lynchburg area clients.
