In May SyCom Vice President of Sales in the Western Region, Tom Spitnale, was given the opportunity to travel to James Madison University (JMU) – a public university located in Harrisonburg, Virginia – to represent SyCom at the Annual Student Awards Ceremony, which honored outstanding students in the JMU College of Business. SyCom’s involvement is through the Technology Alumni Group (TAG), a group that several of our employees have participated in for years.
Spitnale presented the “Technology Alumni Group Award,” an award selected by the JMU Computer Information Systems (CIS) faculty based on a combination of academic excellence, leadership, service commitment, and IT-focused career goals. JMU student Nathan Dornblaser – who served as the President of the Association for Information Systems this past year and participated in a project where they revamped some disparate systems for Virginia Wildlife Center, creating a better platform for data analytics and employee tracking – was selected as the awardee.
