While COVID-19 continues to impact the upcoming 2021-2022 school year, many teachers, staff and students are finally able to safely return to the classroom. SyCom employees continued the tradition of connecting with the local Richmond community by donating school supplies to Holladay Elementary, a public elementary school located in Henrico, Virginia. Our headquarters office has built a strong relationship with Holladay and its staff over the past nine years and our team was happy to help once again.
This year, after collecting monetary and school supply donations for multiple weeks, SyCom proudly delivered many boxes containing 59 backpacks, 1,680 glue sticks, 444 crayons, 118 pencil boxes/pouches, 96 handheld pencil sharpeners. 20 electric pencil sharpeners, 34 packages of baby wipes, 384 pairs of scissors, 18 bottles of white board cleaner and 82 boxes of tissues! Extra precautions were once again taken this year by both SyCom and Holladay to ensure the safety of our employees and the school’s students and staff.
Our employees love knowing we get to help the students, and the school staff members always express their gratitude. We look forward to continuing to connect with our community by supporting this relationship in years to come and wish Holladay the best of luck with the upcoming school year. Huge thanks to SyCom’s very own Wendy Basham for leading charge on this project each and every year!
